Savemom combines innovation with tradition!

Jiovio Healthcare’s inspirational journey was highlighted in a special Young Turks segment, which focused on how they are revolutionising maternity healthcare with a uniquely Indian twist.

The Journey

In order to address India’s persistent problem of insufficient maternity healthcare, Jiovio Healthcare, an IoT company based in Bengaluru, created numerous hardware prototypes. But it wasn’t only about creating technology; it was also about ensuring that women, especially those living in rural regions, could access and accept it.

Co-founders Senthil Kumar and Dhinesh Pandian understood after multiple design iterations that a new strategy was needed to encourage pregnant women in rural areas to adopt health-monitoring devices. This new strategy needed to be familiar and culturally appropriate.

The Innovation

That’s when inspiration struck: the Rudraksha Mala!

Jiovio created an Internet of Things sensor that was neatly incorporated in the form of a traditional Rudraksha necklace. This wearable device connects to their flagship smartphone app,Allobaby, and continuously tracks six essential maternal health metrics, including:

  • Heart Rate
  • Blood Glucose Levels
  • Sleep Patterns and more

The collected data is easily transferred to the cloud, allowing clinicians to remotely monitor pregnant women’s health and create a digital healthcare ecosystem that delivers life-saving care right to their door.

The Impact

By combining technology and tradition, Savemom has successfully raised adoption rates among rural women, resulting in better prenatal care, Early risk diagnosis, and Healthier delivery. It’s more than just innovation; it’s innovation that feels familiar.
