Innovation at JioVio Healthcare is driven by empathy and firsthand experience rather than only technology. JioVio’s revolutionary maternity care platform, Savemom, has a touching backstory that began in the inventor Senthil Kumar’s own family. 

A Personal Story of Love and Innovation

Manimala, Senthil’s sister, was pregnant and lived in a secluded village in 2016. Hours of waiting to see a doctor followed lengthy, exhausting travels to city hospitals for routine pregnancy exams. Manimala was not the only member of the family to suffer from the physical and emotional strain.

Senthil visited with his sister’s Gynaecologist to learn the fundamentals of prenatal care since he was determined to help her feel less anxious. He discovered that routinely checking vital signs like Blood Sugar and Blood Pressure could have a significant impact.

That information inspired a thought. 

Building the First Prototype

Mr. Senthil started working right away.

He replaced the conventional display panels on a Blood Pressure monitor and Blood Glucose meter with specially designed blue-chip technology. He then developed a smartphone app that could:

Forward Manimala’s medical records straight to her physician.

Remind her of the times for taking her medications.

Give dietary and nutritional guidance.

Notify her husband of any emergencies.

If necessary, reserve a taxi to the hospital.

Manimala’s pregnancy experience was made manageable by this straightforward yet effective method, which made health monitoring convenient, fast, and comforting.
